Hi, my name is MacKenzie. I am in EDM310 at the University of South Alabama. My major is Secondary Education Mathematics. Barbie Bungee sounds like an interesting project. I can tell the students really enjoy it by the laughing in the background of the videos! I think it is great how the use of this project produces excitement in your students. Especially when it is a subject in which not all students express interest in. I am glad to hear that only one barbie lost her life in the name of math!

Thank you for that observation. It is a fun activity...I think I still have a barbie laying around my room somewhere.

Hello, My name is BreAna Riley and I am in EDM310 at South Alabama also. I am a secondary education major but for English! I really enjoyed your barbie bungee post. What made you decide on your passion for math? How did you come up with the idea of Barbie Bungee? What other projects do you use to enhance your students learning? Any failed attempts at projects? I apologize for all the questions but I am in love with the fact that you got hands on with your students. Especially for math. I always struggled in school with math and I wish I had a teacher who did fun projects like this!

Hi! My name is Kimberly Smith and I am an Elementary Education major at South Alabama. I really enjoyed watching the videos of the kids performing their projects. You can tell that the kids really enjoyed testing their bungee cords with the Barbies. I do believe having the Kids do hands on activities help with the learning process and they really remember the concepts in great details. Thank you for sharing your project it will be something I keep in mind when I start teaching.
